XIII-Disaster Relief in Libya
• Raised funds to support families affected by the floods in Derna. A catastrophic flood hit Derna, a port city in eastern Libya, after two dams burst during storm Daniel. The floodwater swept away bridges and whole communities, leaving thousands of people dead and missing and others without homes. Lifeline Help has raised funds to support displaced families affected by the flooding. We reached 400 families who migrated to the west of Libya. In collaboration with the Derna Relief team, we identified the neediest families and distributed 200.000 LD between them—500 LD for each family.

XIV-Support for Families in Gaza
• Raised funds to support families affected by the genocide in Gaza.
• Collected and distributed Zakat al-Fitr.
• Struggling civilians in Gaza once more face the horror of significant airstrikes, with a rapidly rising death toll and hundreds of thousands of people displaced with nowhere safe to go. Lifeline Help remains active in delivering lifesaving aid, including food, clean water, medical assistance, and hygiene kits. Lifeline Help immediately sent your donations of 11,000 USD and 30,000 LD in Lifesaving, which was sent in collaboration with Libyan scouts’ movements to be a lifeline for Palestinian families in need.

XII-Disaster Relief in Turkey
• On February 6, 2023, a series of large earthquakes struck southern Turkey and northern Syria, followed by hundreds of aftershocks. The initial earthquakes caused thousands of fatalities, and thousands more are at risk due to the destruction of infrastructure and freezing temperatures in the affected areas.
• Immediate efforts after the earthquakes and in the following days are focused on search and rescue operations to find survivors among the rubble of collapsed buildings. Other pressing needs include providing medical care for people with physical injuries, as well as ensuring access to food, drinking water, and shelter for all those who have lost their homes.
• Support from Lifeline Help charity has arrived and been distributed to those affected by the earthquake in Southeast Turkey. Urgent aid worth £25,000 was provided in the first days following the earthquake.
