Why is this project important?
One of our main projects at Lifeline help is caring for orphans. The war in Libya has resulted in many orphans. Just imagine, there have been thousand of deaths in Libya since 2011. You can imagine that many of the men and women who lost their lives, had children and therefore there is a need to provide an ongoing source of income. For many orphaned children the reality of poverty is a daily burden. They are often left wondering where their next meal will come from or if they can buy medicine. At lifeline help, we are proud of the work we have done with orphans in Libya. Below is a list of some of the things we have achieved so far.

Supporting Families and Orphans
• Constructed a home for a family of four daughters and a young boy after their father’s passing left them without financial support.
• Provided an orphanage with entertainment activities and winter clothing, totalling 8,000 Dinar

Assisting Vulnerable Families
- Built a house for a family of eleven whose home was destroyed in the Tripoli war, with the father
- suffering from cancer and limited financial means.

III- Supporting Orphan Home
In the heart of the Tajoura area lies Dar Al-Yafeen, a sanctuary for autistic children in need of treatment and rehabilitation. This haven is home to several youths who have been separated from their families and depend on the center’s care, with the support of Social Security. It’s crucial to come together and support both the center and its children, ensuring they receive the necessary care and resources for their proper growth. These children are in dire need of continuous assistance, including access to treatment, medication, clothing, educational materials, and recreational activities, as well as essential psychological and moral support. They are counting on us for a brighter future.

XI-Orphan Sponsorship and Housing for Vulnerable Populations
• Partnered with three other associations to sponsor 161 orphans in Libya.
• Purchased a home and accommodated two women and a child who were homeless and in a vulnerable position.
