Dr Ra’fat Abdel Aziz, a Palestinian doctor living in Libya, was known for his kind smile and big heart. He served for 25 years in the intensive care department, saving hundreds of lives. He contracted coronavirus while trying to save a patient and sadly lost his life. He was one of the first founding physicians of Cardiac Care at Tripoli Medical Centre and the Dean of Care Physicians at Tripoli Central Hospital. He taught many generations, and trained the best doctors.
